I like this globe sitting on my desk. It looks very nice, especially when illuminated. The quality seems to be very good. Unfortunately, mine has a small cut on the surface, so you can see the white plastic beneath the cover. We got this for our 9 year old, she has been wanting a globe for a really long time. We thought this one would be best, because it has other little bits of info about the locations on the globe, such as animals, plus the words are not all crammed together or super small. This globe has very good graphics. When the lamp is turned on, the constellattions are further represented by rather unique art work. There is no trouble visualizing them once the globe is lighted.
