Ginkgo Stainless Steel Skandia 43 Piece Flatware Set - 079914470438

I bought this as a wedding present for my brother and his wife, so I haven't personally used the cutlery, although I will when I visit them for dinner. I selected it to match a set of steak knives I'd bought them last year, as the cutlery that goes with the knives has been discontinued. The set complemented the steak knives' stainless steel finish and Scandinavian design well; I felt it was excellent value for the price; and the pieces have a great heft (weight) to them, which speaks of quality. [...].Before purchasing, I did note another commenter's observation that the tines on the forks are rather blunt, so not ideal for spearing food. But I've never noticed my brother having trouble getting anything from his plate to his mouth—no matter the utensil. I'd recommend this set to other prospective customers.

The set is a beautiful high quality stainless. Our only complaint is the forks--salad and dinner, are almost impossible to use on anything but soft foods. Even our guests look puzzled just repeatedly piercing but getting nothing on the fork.They simply are too blunt due to their quality thickness.

Simple design, elegant, grt for daily use.

I really like this set!! I was looking for some flatware that was substantial enough for everyday use but dressy enough for entertaining and this set is just the thing. It's beautifully made (in China) with a highly polished finish. The pieces have a nice heft and simple flowing lines without any additional ornamentation, all of which suit my taste. Add to that the bargain I got when I purchased them and it's a very sweet deal.
