The design is large on the flatware so that it is very noticeable. At first glance, the design looks like a bow but as you get a closer look, you can see the Fleur de lis design. The flatware is comfortable to hold and easy to wash. I love that it's versatile enough where you can use it on a casual lunch as well as a formal dinner. It gives my table personality and charm. It came packed in a cute box each individual item in it's own bag. I have receive many compliments on my set.
