I looked forever for a quality fixture to use for lighting an entire wall of art pieces and found nothing except specialized lighting costing thousands. When I saw this fixture, it seemed too good to be true. It wasn't - it works perfectly for the purpose and it's absolutely as beautiful as the art it illuminates!

Delivery was prompt, packaged very well.

This is our primary light in our living room. It tracks a beam that cuts through the middle of the room. I have effectively used all the lights pointed in different directions. The rail is connected to a dimmer, and one of the best features is the qualities of light coming from the bulbs at different levels. From dim to full bright, this rail is fantastic. RE: the labels everyone is peeling off...I left mine on, and there has been no problems. They are not visible from the floor. The design is very attrative, and everyone who visits comments on the light. It is now one year since its installation, and I've not had any problems, -I've not even replaced a bulb yet. Very satisfied, and would highly recommend this to anyone, but with the caveat that they just must install it with a dimmer to take advantage of the different lighting effects.

This product, though not cheap, lasted for less than two years before the transformer simply quit working. There also appeared to be a poor connection between the lights and the fixture. Not all of the lights worked. Though the product looks nice asthetically, it is of extremely low quality. To say that it is a bad value is an extreme understatement.

When we took the labels off of the individual lights it peeled off the paint. Otherwise we loved the light. It is a great conversational piece when people come to visit.

The first problem I had with the Monorail Kit was that the rails did not fit into the rail joiners, I had to file down the ends of the rails to get them to fit. Next, one of the hex screws on a fixture was striped out and there is no way to loosen it now. Every fixture comes with a "caution risk of fire 35 watt etc.." sticker on it. When I peeled of the stickers the paint came off with them. The transformer also had a small spot missing paint. I paid the extra money for the painted black lights, one would hope that the paint would stay on. I think George Kovacs or Minka needs to pay more attention to quality control if you are going to manufacture over in CHINA.
