The lamp was advertised as having a foot dimmer switch, which was important for making my decision. Instead it has a foot on-off switch-- this is very disappointing and I likely would not have chosen this lamp if I had known it was only on or off. Disappointed customer from Washington DC	3.0 2/1/2008 Attractive lamp with defective screws This is an attractive well designed lamp. The dimmer feature is especially nice. However, it took myself and my husband who is an electrical engineer three hours to assemble. This is because the internal wiring is not properly sized to enable easy assembly and because assembly requires some extremely small screws that are difficult to adjust. In addition, the screws we received appeared to be stripped. The only reason we were able to assemble this at all is because my husband, as an electrical engineer,was able to work around the problems. After this experience we will not be ordering lamps on line again. The higher cost to get an assembled lamp at a shop more than compensates for the time and frustration we experienced with this lamp.
