Round 1 At the age of 37 and already a world class athlete, George returned from a ten year retirement to pursue the Heavyweight Championship of the World title. This began the first round of his fight to get in shape. The success of his comeback was marked by his victory at the age of 45, making him the oldest man to become Heavyweight Champion of the World. Round 2 George successfully defended his title for many years before re-entering retirement. For George, the biggest challenge had always been keeping the pounds off. To truly be healthy he realized it would take much more than simply cutting the fat. Crash diets and burnout regimens wouldn’t give him the lasting results he needed to achieve victory in and out of the ring. It was then that George began the second and most difficult round in his fight. He made a serious shift in his daily health choices. He committed to a new lifestyle which included varied types of exercise and improved eating habits. Round 3 Today, a two-time world champion and business entrepreneur, George has maintained a strong, daily commitment to health that has enabled him to achieve so many victories. He has honed and refined the regimens and fitness techniques he has learned through the years, creating for himself a lasting and proven lifestyle. 2007 marks the third and final round of George’s fight. He no longer fights for his own health but America’s. His fight has become one of information and empowerment.
