About the Designers
Jan Egeberg Denmark (1958 - )
Jan Egeberg was born in Elsinore in 1958. Egeberg trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, specializing in industrial design in 1988. As a designer, he has worked with, among others, David Lewis, who is famous for designing Bang and Olufsen’s products. Today, he works on furniture design and product development. Egeberg previously created outdoor thermometers for MOMA Design Store New York and, in 1999, was awarded both the Formland Prize and the Design Plus Prize. Egeberg and Morten Thing both graduated from the Royal academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, 1989. Since then, the two artisans have worked together and received numerous prizes for their excellent product development and designs.
Morten Thing The tulip's pure and elegant form graces these knives, forks, and spoons. Crafted from rust-proof matte steel, the Tulipa series consists of six pieces: a knife, a fork, a spoon, a coffee spoon, a dessert spoon, and a latte spoon.
