Generac 10 Kw Air-Cooled Standby Generator with Transfer Switch - 5871

I have installed the Generator for my client who's wife is disabled and needs to make sure she has power at all times. the install took about 3 days. the Generator is awesome it works perfect. i highly recommend it. the only down side is that the shipping took over 4 months so you have to make sure that you are not in a rush.

We purchased this generator as a back-up to our PV solar system. Within the first year, we were having problems and had to hire a certified Generac repair person to get it running. We were told that it was not covered under the warranty because we use it with a solar set-up. We've now had it repaired 4 times in just over 2 years and have spent almost $1000. We plan to purchase a new one but will not buy another Generac.

I researched my generator purchase online for several weeks.I also research the companies selling them.I read blogs by people who had already done business with these companies.I found out, who doesn't return phone calls, who doesn't keep promises, who gives you a hard time with damaged deliveries and missing parts, who stuck you with unexpected charges. The man I placed my order with (Ryan)was very knowledgeable and pleasant. I was notified when the generator was in stock. I was notified when it shipped from the warehouse. I was notified when the delivery was imminent. I was promised a price for the generator. No tax, free shipping, free liftgate delivery. I checked and found out liftgate delivery is not a cheap service, however Every Generator pays for it as a service to their customers who need it. This company did EVERYTHING they promised. The Generac model 5502 arrived on a pallet supported by a wooden crate with no damage at all. The generator is now installed and runs beautifully. To anyone thinking of buying a stand-by generator, I would suggest they consider one with an automatic transfer switch. They cost a bit more, but they do everything automatically, even when you're not home. They even test themselves at the day and time of your choosing. Men who repair generators have told me they think the Generac stand-by is the best. I believe that now that I have my own. My new generator is more powerful than I expected. It runs a 2-1/2 ton A/C unit along with numerous lights and other things I switched on. Handled the surges nicely. I would also suggest folks beware of less-than-scrupulous dealers. They're out there, so do your homework first. There's competition out there, so you might as well go with somebody you can trust. From my own personal experience, I can highly recommend Every Generator.com. In my opinion, they really rock!
