Slim, sleek Case completely over-built

It is sturdy, no doubt about it, but I think it is over designed and over built. The case itself is too heavy to start with. Once you add 30 lbs. of equipment to it, you have a 70 lb. load to get in and out of a car trunk or a van. Whatever happened to the good old theatrical road cases? Thin and sturdy sides reinforced at every joint with steel clamps and solid wheels on bottom, secured by straps that would hold down an army of Navy Seals. Lids fit tightly and made it double strong.
