Gates

We use this product to keep our dog contained in a specific area of the house when we are away while still having outside access due to her destructive behavior. After eating 2 couch cushions and chewing up an area rug, we knew we had to do something but wanted to make sure she could still be inside while we were away. This gate is tall enough so she can't jump over it - she can scale a 30 inch gate. This worked perfectly. The only problem is that the photo shown of the gate has hardware where you can mount it to the wall and take it off and put it on very easily. The actual gate that came has to be screwed into the wall and you can't remove it. After calling the manufacturer and being told that this was the new, updated gate, they recommended that we unscrew the last bar on each side and can remove it that way. By doing this, the bar is still latched to the wall, which does not look pretty, but it is the only alternative so we went with it. I did not want to return it because it is the tallest gate that is being sold on the market today (38" high) and also has the flexibility to put up in odd shaped areas like we have in our home."..."  Read more

I bought this gate to keep our dogs from eating our cats' food in another room. This gate has been a PERFECT solution to the problem. It still allows us to go in and out of the room without having to mess around with a baby gate but it also has the cat door so the kitties can come and go.This is an extremely sturdy gate an made out of metal and not cheap plastic. I purchased the walk-thru gate with the pet door to keep our large dogs contained to an area, and the pet door lets our cats free to roam. I looked at a lot of pet gates before deciding on this one for my cats. It's higher than most pet gates, and long enough to fit wide and unusually shaped openings.
