Gates

It's hard to find a pet gate to span my very wide entrance to the living room, where I do NOT want my dogs hanging out. I also didn't want to permanently attach anything to the walls, or have to dismantle the gate to let people through into the room. This gate is extra wide, and I was attracted to the 'slide' feature. The quality is very nice; it looks good in the house - like furniture, not like a utility gate. It is very stable (at least for my Chihuahua & Cairn terrier). The only drawback is that the 'slide' action is difficult to manage. It does not move smoothly at all & needs to be wiggled & fiddled with every time; kind of frustrating. I have been looking for a reasonably priced gate like this one for several years but havent bought one because of the prohibitive price--most being over 200 and even over 300. The price of this gate is great and so is the quality. It looks like a piece of furniture instead of a cheap pet gate. The ease of which it opens and closes to walk through and the simple latch makes this a steal at the price of 139. I highly recommend this gate to prospective buyers.
