We just recently got a new puppy and we have a 1 yr. old dog. We needed to keep the dogs separated (at times) and contained in a space with wide doorways. We also needed to have a gate that our toy fox terriers couldnt jump over! We ordered two of these gates to contain them in our living room. I was reluctant to spend the money on these gates but I think it is one of the BEST purchases I have ever made! The gates are well constructed and can stand free alone. My husband and I were very pleased and impressed with how easy it was to set them up - little assembly required. In the summer we plan on using them outside - connecting them together. They come fully assembled and directions for use are clear. I contacted customer service before buying to make sure that the product fit our needs. Excellent service! Great buy! I bought two to create a 10 panel (2 x 3 x 2 x 3) play area around a play mat in the living room for my 8 mo old son. (Two play yards can actually make a 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 area, but it turned out to be a bit large for our living room) Its been working great so far. Sturdy enough for a tall toddler anxious to go everywhere and deaf to "no". As a gradparent I wasn't up to running after him all the time so bought TWO of these, can link them together but used one indoor and one outside. His parents ended up borrowing one of them!
