The Worst from the Good Bags
Rina from Burnaby BC
I purchased this bag in June 2012. It is very well designed and in very organized & convenient manner has pockets for all business and human needs: keys, mobile phone, purse, pen, books, documents, laptop or i-pad, extra jacket if required-for all. It is light weighted, slim looking but when required it expands and gets very spacious. The material is nice and good for cleaning. I can use it as a backpack on daily basis and as a briefcase when going on meeting. However, it is the worst bag that I ever had because of its horrible quality!1)After only a few weeks of usage material on the front pocket started to come out (see picture ). I called to Wayfair and reported defect. They asked: ‘Do you want money back or replacement?’ I told: ‘Replacement. I love this bag and would like to own one but a good quality’. 2)I received second bag but after only a few weeks the problem occurred again, now in 2 different spots. I called to Wayfair and reported defect. They again offered refund but I again asked for replacement.3)However, Goodhope refused to send me third bag, and Wayfair processed refund. I took the bag to repair shop and paid $30 to fix those 2 defected spots. But in a few weeks material came out from the stitches in different location! After owning it only for a few months I am actively looking for a new bag, and my requisites- not Goodhope brand and not made in China.

So I really havent used the solar feature yet, though it nice to know its there to charge up my power hungry smart phone. You can just charge the included battery in an ac jack as well. The pull out backpack straps are a great feature. The shoulder strap attachment to the bag itself tore within a week due to the cheap thin material the bag is constructed of. Im not sure quite how long the backpack straps are going to last as I have noticed some fraying. Better for light applications and while I can fit lots of files, supplies and the computer in, the materials dont seem to hold up to the weight. Could benefit from more than one pouch with zipper. I would recomend you just get a laptop bag (that can convert to backpack), and a seperate battery rather than buy the whole thing. It may be fine for personal use going forward, but definitely not heavy business use. It does have nearly as many storage pockets / compartments as my beloved old bag which was a plus. Would give great review if made from thicker materials. - Has Monocrystaline (black) solar cell as which generates more power per square inch opposed to the polycrystaline (usually blue).
