We needed a sofa for the study for guests. Wanted something easy to assemble & move, like a futon, but that wasn't a futon, and we didn't want to spend a lot of money. We've had this one about a week & are happy with it. The mattress is solid/firm for sleeping, and the fabric looks nice. It doesn't feel cheap. I purchased the futon for my living room. I think it serves the purpose well. One warning: be wary of the size. I went with the hand trays on both sides, so if my room would not be spacious enough, I would not be able to open and use them. The futon is a bit heavy, thus be careful with wooden floor if you have one. I did not have problems with the mattress moving back and forth on it (as some complained). However, there is some amount of smell of chemicals from the mattress, it is not terrible, but can annoy some (I hope it will go away soon). Pros: Wayfair offers great price Convertible Option with hand trays for beverages, magazines, remotes Solid construction Cons: Some may argue that return policy is somewhat tricky - free shipping, BUT if you will not be fully satisfied, then return must be paid by the buyer (with furniture it is tricky; pretty standard practice though) Smell from mattress"..."  Read more

I bought this sofa for a small bedroom we converted into a home office. It fits in the room without making the space look overcrowded because the sofa does not have arms, and its rounded ends allow walking space on either end for access to the closet on one wall and desk drawers on the other. My college-age granddaughters sometimes visit with a boyfriend and we now have extra sleeping space for their guests.
