I'm happy with this purchase. It's good as a couch for extra seating. It's almost a "black" brown color. I bought this for an office and for extra sleeping for company, however, it's not as comfy for sleeping and will really need a mattress pad of some sort to get rid of the uncomfortable middle crease when it's laying flat. I had been looking for awhile at futons. My son was coming home on leave and I needed a full-sized bed for him. I ordered this one and it came 2 days later. I upgraded the mattress to a foam medium-firm serta. He is 5'9". I put it together myself(no tools required) and he absolutely loved it. It is very comfortable for sitting and sleeping. It has a very modern look to it and it is very slimline. I am very happy with this purchase. I would recommend this to anyone. I was impressed by how quickly we received it.
