This futon is PERFECT for what we wanted! My 21-year-old son is living in a one-bedroom apartment. The bedroom is small, so he wanted a bed that wouldn't take up much space. This futon is just what he needed. The frame was easy to put together and very sturdy. And it's very easy to adjust to the different positions. My son says the cushion is very comfortable to sleep on and to sit on as a sofa during the day. The cushion has an ample amount of stuffing in it, actually fuller than other futons we have seen. He loves using the futon as a lounger for reading before he goes to bed! I will say that my son is 5'7". So the length is perfect for him. But it may be a little short for someone who is taller. This futon is being used in a small studio apt.I wanted a piece of furniture that could be used as a seat and a guest bed. This piece was small enough to fit through a skinny door and a steep stairway. It definitely fits the bill for my dual use. It's attractive and really compact in an apt. where every inch counts. It's comfortable but not large enough for more than one good size person or two small people to sit on. Two of the screws that came with it had to be replaced, but that wasn't a big deal. I bought this futon for my dorm room. We have a very small lobby area with some awkwardly placed grooves in the wall that don't permit a full size futon to be used with any sort of space economy. This futon, however, fits perfectly against the wall with the sides three clicks up, and can easily be pulled out and made into a comfortable bed for friends or family. My only real complaint it that the backrest is too high, or the back pillow is too small. When leaning against it in spots, the pillow gets pushed underneath the top bar of the rest, and as a result, so does your back. I had been looking for awhile at futons. My son was coming home on leave and I needed a full-sized bed for him. I ordered this one and it came 2 days later. I upgraded the mattress to a foam medium-firm serta. He is 5'9". I put it together myself(no tools required) and he absolutely loved it. It is very comfortable for sitting and sleeping. It has a very modern look to it and it is very slimline. I am very happy with this purchase. I would recommend this to anyone. I was impressed by how quickly we received it.
