I recently ordered a futon frame and mattress from Wayfair to have extra sleeping room when grandchildren stay over. The customer service rep was extremely helpful. The first mattress I ordered did not work well with our futon, so the customer service rep suggested this Feather Touch One. We had no problem with returning the first mattress. We are very pleased with the quality of the Gold Bond. The mattress cover is very nice. The mattress is firm enough to be very comfortable and does not slide on the frame. It is very comfortable to sit on, too. It is a little large, but we have never had a futon before, so I suppose it is to be a little large. Looks wonderful with the rattan futon frame. The bed is just as I expected it to be. I had bought a futon for $75 used. It came with a mattress, the gold bond all cotton 8". It looked clean, until I took off the cover to wash it. Then I saw a pee stain, small spot, then I remembered seeing cats in the guys apartment. Then I saw another. I decided to wash it, but with just water, bleach and soap, a bunch of brownness came out. My bro-law said it was cat pee that was absorbed into the mattress. So I was in a bind. Having tried this specific model of mattress at a local futon store, for $500+, and seeing it at the price it was here, I bought it immediately. It arrived so quickly, less than a week, bought it Thursday night, got it Wednesday the next week. It is as soft as I wanted it, I like soft beds, and is so comfortable as a couch. For many reasons, like wanting more room, in my room, I chose to use a futon over a regular frame bed, queen size too. The only complaint I have is that it is too good. I have had it for about a month and there is no crease where I fold the bed, and it is a couch all day, except only when I am sleeping on it, 5-7 hours a day. Due to this, I have to make sure to dig the crease into the fold so it doesn't pop back out slowly when in couch position. It usually stays in as long as I do a good job of putting it in right. I paired it with a queen sized futon allerease bed bug/water repellent and the cover that I had bought it with, and lastly with a tight fit queen bed sheet over it. Best investment ever, and having thoroughly checked everywhere, this is as cheap as it can get. Highly recommended and Wayfair, previously Wayfairs I believe, is the best. Pros Nice black cotton fabric cover for the mattress. Super fast shipping. Since the mattress is made of foams only, it won't sink like spring mattress in the long term. Cons It wasn't as soft as i though for a 9" foam mattress. There are spring futon mattress out there that are softer and cheaper (but they are springs..). Also the product should mention the total weight of the mattress. it was pretty heavy and difficult for 1 person to manage the futon mattress (changing the futon from bed to sofa position)"..."  Read more

This is a great futon mattress, and unlike another 8 mattress I bought on Oco, this is actually 8. Ive used futon mattresses for the last 20 years. I used to buy great futon mattresses from the Futon Shop. This mattress is of that quality. Some people on this site say that their futon smells like a chemical, perhaps formaldehyde. Raw cotton is pretty stinky for the first few weeks, but the smell is more akin to a bale of hay than a chemical. Expect to smell a strong raw cotton smell for a few days and a lingering odor for a few weeks."..."  Read more
