This rug is gorgeous! I was worried it was going to be too yellow but it’s NOT. Our carpet is dark and I wanted to make it lighten up and this rug did just that! I’m so glad I went with it. The rug is lovely and the photos show it well. A few cautions 1) it is very thin and will absolutely need a thick pad underneath 2) it is a flat weave, nothing fundamentally wrong with that but I just didn’t expect that when I ordered it 3) the design isn’t woven, it’s stamped on top, again a very inexpensive way to make a rug. This rug is SO soft. It’s the perfect rug for my bedroom. I love waking up and putting down my bare feet each morning. I really couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The backing and edging seem to be of a good quality that will last. I ordered the 9’x9’ and it is true to size. The colors are exactly as pictured with the grey and white being the most dominant two and the cream and light blue amply sprinkled throughout. This is not a thick rug by any stretch. When I placed the rug down on top of a non-slip rub gripper pad (I have wood floors), I could feel the exact place where the pad had folded over underneath the rug, and that pad thing is super thin. So, if you have imperfections in the surface that you are trying to use this rug to cover up, you may want to consider putting an actual thick pad underneath it otherwise, you will still feel the imperfections when you walk over the area. I did let this rug air out for a few days on my back porch. It had a fairly strong smell to it, but I find most rugs that I purchase “rolled” have this smell and it does go away. I used some carpet fresh, too, and I vacuumed it up with my Kirby on a very low setting - the carpet held up perfectly. I'm happy with this rug, but a couple of things that were a bit of a surprise. Some reviewers talk about how soft it is - it's actually more furry than plush. Also, even though I spent a LOT of time reading reviews, I don't recall anyone mentioning how much celadon green is included. The overall effect color-wise pretty much matches the pictures. I have the matching runner in the hall (minimal natural light) and it looks pretty dark. The one in the living room is under skylights, so during the day, it's not as rich looking. Again, though, I'm fine with them since they meet my decorating needs. I did add a carpet pad underneath because they are thin and even putting the rugs flat upside down for a couple of days beforehand could not get the corners to uncurl, so I ended up buying stickers for each corner (fingers crossed they don't damage my hardwood!). This rug is absolutely beautiful!!!! I order 9x12 and it fits perfectly in my living room. The colors are very nice (gray, blues and whites) they look great against the Gray and chromes of my decor.
