The backing needs to be more rubbery, as the rug has a tendency to slide around on a hard surface; 2. The binding developed a loose thread at one corner the first day of use--easily clipped, but it makes me wonder if it will hold up over time. Was this helpful? Yes / No

It's worn well thru the years thru many racers. It had a foam backing, which isn't wearing well. I am happy to see that these new ones have a different non-skid type backing, so I am hoping these will not flake as they get used. Bought these 2 for the youngest 2 grandsons. 1 & 3 years. old.
