Cool and quiet I have this in a medium sized, 200 sq-ft bedroom I use for an office. It is more quiet than I had expected, and easily cools the room down to my preferred temp of 76 deg F. Minor things I don't like: 1) The remote is huge, nearly as big as my TV remote. 2) The thermostat is optimistic, I have to set it 1 to 2 degrees lower than my desired temp. 3) It makes a beep whenever I change a setting, which is fine, but the beep is LOUD! |

Works great So far I'm really enjoying this AC. I have central air, but during the hot months (I live in Alabama) it's really hard to keep certain rooms cooler without my central air running day and night. I needed a room (approximately 11 ft by 13ft) to keep to a 68-70 degree in the summer months. This 6000 BTU is definitely doing the task and not running all the time. I was also pleasantly surprised at how small it is. I have the long length but smaller width windows and it fits well and isn't an eyesore. On a side note: I do not use this AC strictly alone. My central air keeps the house at 75 degrees and this is just used as a supplement. I cannot comment on how it would do with a full sized room alone. |
