Very poor quality Cannot be installed without taping up the gaps due to cheap construction and poor fit. Doesn't have a real thermostat, just low to high settings. Does not seem to have 5000 BTU as it runs a long time to lower temperature in a 10 x 14 room. I have a Goldstar 5000 BTU that cools a 13 x 18 room quickly and has a real thermostat, many settings and a remote and was $40 more. Spend a few dollars more for a better unit. |

Frigidaire 5000 BTU Air Conditioner I bought the unit because reviews on line indicated that it was only 16 inches wide and would fit an 18 inch window. It turns out that it was designed for a minimum 23 inch opening, but with some surgery, I was able to make it work. The unit does a nice job, but could be improved by having a power saver function. Nonetheless, no complaints except for the size issue. |

So far good complimentary air conditioni I bought this air conditioner to compliment for air conditioning on the second floor. It has been a week since it was installed and it is working great. I would give it a 5 star but i would like to wait longer before that. |
