Frieling Deluxe Ice Crusher with Ice Scoop

Purchased it for my wife. She liked it very much. I liked that it came assembled and ready to go.

Completely broke apart within 2 weeks of use 4-5 times per day using regular ice cubes. The crushing mechanics use plastic parts which are no match for ice. It looks beautiful, and for occasional use is probably OK. But this is a light duty item.

The crusher mechanism broke in 2 weeks, being used 4-5 times daily. The plastic parts in the crusher are just inadequate against regular ice cubes from the refrigerator. Looks beautiful on the counter and fun to use. Not recommended for anything other than occasional use.

It may be harder for large amounts of ice, but 3 large Margaritas have enough ice from one full container. Manual but easy enough.

I bought a Frieling ice crusher in Munich in the 80s, and it was "borrowed." I am so glad to have m own again. I use it to crush ice for drinks of all kinds. I also use it to "pre-crush" ice for blender smoothies. This makes the smoothie smoother.
