This product is represented as being 5.5 feet wide by 5.5 feet deep. Per the manufacturer this measurement includes the curve of the umbrella. The actual diameter of the umbrella from one side to the other is only 3.5 feet. This makes a huge difference when you are sitting under it in terms of coverage!

Great umbrella that attaches to your sand chair. Small enough to carry easily, but large enough for good shade coverage. Even used it one overcast day as a wind shield and it was awesome. Used it for the first time this year on vacation, so I can't give a comment on it's long lasting durabilty. More expensive than the cheap versions you find in all those beach stores, but seems well worth the money
