I hesitated because it wasn't white like the original, but it looks great!

My original grid (6 yrs) was plastic coated, wore, and the grid started rusting. This one is SS and should last. Only complaint is the slit plastic tube bumpers that will collect grime. Should be molded on.

quality product. I'm hoping the uncoated version will hold up longer. Previous coated one lasted about 10 years - not bad but was looking pretty ratty as the coating wore off. The coating did provide some cushioning which is as advantage.
Just what I needed

The coating on my older Franke grid had worn down and it was looking rusty in places, so I ordered this one. It appears shinier than the old version, and it has little plastic feet to protect the sides of the shelf area in the sink. Its not a cheap accessory but its necessary and looks great!
Good and bad of uncoated drainers

This is my 3rd drainer for the sink, with the first two being the coated versions. I found they lasted about 5 years before becoming so gunked up as to be unhealthy looking. The uncoated drain will be easier to clean, and should last a lifetime. But the uncoated drain is much less forgiving when you bang something on it. In the first week I broke a wine glass (the real thin kind) when I just bumped the lip of the glass on the grate while washing it. So beware of this if you are thinking to switching to an uncoated drain.

This shelf is fantastic. I use it every day, great for setting fruit and vegetables on when rinsing them off. It hold thing at a great height.
