ELEGANT ANTIQUE AND VERY USEFUL
CB from HARTFORD, CT– Verified Buyer
I can't praise this little "gadget" enough. I was considering purchasing an electric bean grinder but was shocked by how much power they use and the cost! You can save money and have a more fulfilling experience by buying this coffee mill. It has an old world charm. It's easy to set up and it's really cute the way the little drawer fills up with ground coffee beans. There are 2 settings: fine ground and coarse ground. You manually set the inner crank. The fine ground is very fine and the coarse is nice and coarse. Since I use a coffee press, I use the coarse ground setting. So if you want an old-world coffee-making experience (and enjoy grinding, lol), buy it. I've had mine for over a month and use it everyday!
Looks different than pictured, but it makes me happy to use!

I expected this brown pictured. The grinder I received was black and slightly less cute, but it still looks reasonable and works well now that I properly adjusted to be a finer grind. It's a little more time consuming than an electric grinder, obviously, but it's a mini arm workout and it really doesn't take long.
Hand-crank coffee grinder

It works relatively well. The only issue I have is it is difficult to crank since it slides on the surface it sits on. But I guess thats an issue with all hand-crank grinders. This is my first one, so not sure.
A good alternative to energy-wasting electric grinders

A good, practical product, but not as well-designed as I hoped -- if you fill the hopper even half way, the ground coffee will overflow the collection drawer. And there's quite a variation in the size of the ground coffee.
Great product for a great price!

This is a really nice little grinder. Thus far I've found it grinds very consistently, the handle is easy to grip and turn and it holds a lot more than the picture lead me to believe. All in all I'm very pleased with my purchase.
cute little thing

Bought item to use as a spice grinder. I like that it is different.
Preschoolers love this
Jenni from Richland, WA– Verified Buyer
My preschoolers love this little coffee grinder. Maybe a little hard to grind the coffee for the younger ones but the older ones most certainly.

Bought it just for a show piece on our vintage coffee bar, but my husband uses as an actual grinder and loves it

This is the second one of this model that I've bought, and I intend to buy one or two more since they look and function so much better than the fans they are replacing.
