Good concept, decent design, weak execution This concept of enclosed storage with full access beneath the bed is appealing. I got end tables and a dresser from room and board And a head board (not yet installed) and some other accessories from room and board and WE. But I wasn't too crazy about their beds with storage. Also checked Bo concept. I thought this would be a good option. I consider myself to be pretty handy, but found that the assembly process brought this thing down by at least 1 if not 1.5 starts. The takeaways: 1. Aggravating to assemble: the manufacture quality is suspect. For example, me of the parts has to slot-like protrusions on each end that join it to another part. One of the protrusions was askew; It was clearly crushed/damaged and thus impossible to join to the other part. I literally had to hammer it (at the risk of weakening the weld) in order to force it be able to force it into a slot. In general, the machining seems poor and I had to use a hammer several times get stuff to fit. 2. Poor, unclear instructions: the 1 page instructions are not very easy to follow given their lack of detail. The photos are small and not clear. After finishing installing per instructions, I was left with several unusued parts leading me to question if the instructions were complete. 3. Poor quality of manufacture. The bed itself as of now (1 night) including "active use" seems to be pretty solid. I has a basic bed frame before and this is definitely more solid as of now. However, the misaligned parts and the traces rust lead me to make this comment. 4. Value. The bed base is basically fully covered once you put a bed skirt in place. From that perspective, it looks no different than the $80 basic bed frame that I had been using. For $550 (queen sizw), is this worth it? Add a head board from WE and the new bed skirt and im looking at a total price of ~1000 which is close to what one might pay for a real wood bed from a place like room and board. I don't think that the value is there. |

Sturdy and spacious! Product Review Got this lift bed to have more storage space in the bedroom.[...]The bed is made ENTIRELY of metal so it is very strong. It does provide considerable storage space. I was able to put the largest Samsonite luggage piece in it without any problems. It has two latches that can be locked if one wants to for safety. Once it is put together it gives extra firm support to the mattres. So far this is the only lift bed that I found that had so much height in its storage space. Very happy with the purchase! Service Review The items came in a very short time well packaged. |
