I rate my flatware service by how easily or difficult it is to bend a teaspoon, say for example, when I scoop frozen ice cream from a carton. In this area this service excels. Virtually no bend at all. This service really holds up in this category. Additionally, the flat finish is beautiful and they have a nice weight in hand. The shape and feel are also very pleasing to the senses. Where they could use some additional work is in the metallurgy itself. After a few dishwasher runs, some of the utensils develop minor rust stains or discoloration on them, which is very queer for a stainless steel set, must be a lower grade stainless. I guess made in China is the price we pay for that. Overall, I gave this set a 4 out of 5 and if it wasn't for the staining I would have given them a 4.9 out of 5 for quality and workmanship.
