Flatware Sets

I was immediately drawn to the simple, clean lines of this set when looking for a new flatware set for EVERYDAY use. And I love the smooth and shiny finish of this flatware. The way it looks in real life is very true to the way it looks in the picture. This set is very practical, and versatile. I bought this set for everday use with casual meals. But if you would like to use this set for more formal occasions, this set has a simple, understated elegance to it, which would do most anyone proud. I love this sets nonfussy but stylish look. Excuse me for going on and on but I was long overdue for a new, all matching flatware set and this set was just what I was looking for, after taking my time and viewing many different sets. This set would get my 5 star rating if the butter knives were slightly shorter and weighed a little less, and if two teaspoons in the set did not feel rough around the edges, right out of the box. I would like to return those two back to the manufacturer for an exchange. Hopefully they will let me. And lastly, it's a pleasure using this set and seeing it in my drawer. This is a very nice, casual set. I have medium-large size hands for a female. I love that this set is bigger than most flatware I have used with more weight. Some people with small hands may not like that. But the guys that have used it seem to really like it. I like the satin look, however, this set does show water spots. And if your hands have any oil on them at all, the satin part shows the fingerprints. I do not host any formal gatherings, so this set works fine for my every day use. If I am having people over for dinner, I wipe the flatware down with club soda and it sparkles like new. I would love to get another set, but will wait until I see it on sale or find a site that has a coupon deal going. Overall, I like this set. I just wish it didn't show spotting so badly. It feels significant in your hand and doesn't feel like if you push the knife too hard on the plate, it will bend. I don't think that will happen! Nice for every day use - buy something a little more expensive if planning on hosting formal gatherings. I needed a sturdy set that works well for every day use. This review specifically addresses the Continental Classic flatware set by Wallace. This is a superior weighted set, not a flat pressed piece of flatware. I now own three of the 65-piece sets in order to set a table for 30. I purchased my first set in 2001 and just added two more sets which are identical to the first set. I've looked for a unique set of daily flatware for quite awhile, until I saw this set. I hoped that the weight & length would be as good as it looked on the internet. I bought the set, and I'm glad I did, because this flatware is durable, stylish, and it feels great when you use it.
