I wasn't sure if the item would really look like the illustration, but it does - design and all, in chrome, of course. I could really do without the star pattern, but these were the only things I could find that are really designed to cover up the holes when converting from a three-handle shower faucet to a single handle when the original faucet had a no-longer-up-to-code 11.5-inch spread (cover plates sold by some manufacturers just weren't wide enough). Using these allowed us to avoid repair/replacement of 80-year-old bathroom tile that we like. They did what they needed to do, and at least the chrome color matches the chrome of the rest of the new parts, even though I think these are actually plastic. But they look the part and finish off the shower, they're cheap, and can easily be replaced if I ever find something better."..."  Read more

My kitchen faucet was leaking around the bottom of the spout. A plumber quoted $180 to rebuilt faucet. I bought these parts and replaced them myself and it no longer leaks."
