Lar easy to install ,easy to use and set up. Lots of room inside, made very well. Better than the small cube safe as they can be carried off , you would have a tough time removing this one! |

Okay for the price This product is like the price, cheap. I wanted an inexpensive solution for a relative, however, I didn't realize that with arthritis in the hands, you can't open this safe (buy the more expensive auto open / close model). Door was not aligned and had to be adjusted as most of this unit. Keypad didn't work, because of the weight, returning was not an option, so I disassembled and reassembled the keypad, it then worked. [*]. If you want a cheap solution, this will work - only reason I am recommending. |

Great safe for the price My studs were not exactly 16" on center (about 16.5) so the outside screws (mostly cosmetic) had nothing to screw in to, but it's plenty secure with the 12 screws inside the safe that are into the studs. |

Adequate for my needs but low quality I built my wife her own jewelry safe using only the front face of this honeywell safe. Upon receipt, I found that the safe was packaged very poorly with bags broken & the parts scattered all over the box (some parts were missing). The exposed front cream colored finish was stained with some kind of brown rust. The interior was a dreadful design but I didn't need or use it anyway as I custom made my own interior. The door was very loose so I remade the interior gasket for a tight fit. The locking mechanism was very hard to operate so I lubricated the locking bolts with teflon which helped considerably. Overall I was of very disappointed with the look and quality of this safe. I expected much better quality from a respected name such as Honeywell. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone. |

Do NOT buy this SAFE!!!! There was no installation template with the safe. The mounting screw on the inside of the safe for the studs were almost impossible to install in such a tight space, I had to break one of the soldered shelves inside to install it. The outside mounting screws are not aligned with 16inch studs, so I had to use mollies which don't hold as well. The locking mechanism sticks when trying to open the safe. I would not have bought this product if I had known these issues ahead of time.... |

Digital Wall Safe Check to make certain that the wall studs are 16" center-to-center before selecting a location for installation; the location I chose was >16", and this led to additional framing and sheetrock work. Although I'm generally satisfied with the product and final installation, there are some design flaws: (1) the flange around the front perimeter should be removed, because it gives a crowbar something to latch onto; (2) the front flange has holes at the four corners, and you're supposed to put screws through them and into the underlying wall studs, but the holes don't line up with the studs; (3) two screws are supposed to go through slats in the interior sides and into the wall studs, but one can really only get one screw in each slat when used in a 4" wall; (4) the door has some freeplay when latched -- this should be tightened up to provide greater security. |
