Great performance, Good price. from Providence, RI on 09/23/2014 – Verified Buyer
We are happy with our purchase of this heater. We are using it in a confined space and the heat production is what we were looking for. We would buy this product again if we were to be looking for it again. Appearance of base and pole are good quality, access to propane tank is easy for an adult but not for a child, as it should be. Lighting is fairly easy though it takes some practice to understand the purging of air and lighting of pilot process. Adjustment of flame/heat is easy.

In still air, heat distribution is about 8 feet in all directions. In light wind, cut that down to 4 feet. Some type of wind barrier, more than 8 feet away, is advisable, though certainly not any flammable material that could blow up to the Heater. It is a live and massive set of flames after all.

Product description should include requirement that clearance above the top of the heater should be at least 3 feet away from any enclosure, such as a ceiling or roof. Item height is approximately 7 feet.

Assembly instructions suggest 60 minutes for assembly. I am handy with assembling items. I am an avid reader of instructions, perhaps to a fault. Reading and following the instructions provided was slightly challenging. Actual assembly time approached two hours, in part due to a short work stoppage to remove a small metal splinter earned while screwing in one of the screws provided.

Once assembled, product appeared as expected and performed as expected. We are pleased with this purchase and would repeat it.

The following are recommendations to consider during assembly. You may not need to read on if you are only at the point of considering the purchase.

Package Contents: Note that you will find you have an extra Anchoring Arm and Pin. I presume they provide it in case you choose not to use the Wheel Assembly. Unfortunately, the instructions fail to note this.

Step 3: Cylinder Holders: instructions should point out the obvious, that these are designed to screw INTO the sides of the propane tank to hold it secure.

Also, assembler is advised to note positioning of support arm holes versus cylinder holder holes since you may want to put a support arm on first if it is right behind the cylinder support holes for that location.

Step 9: Removal of plastic wrap from reflector shield parts: Give this to someone elsed to do while you are assembling. It takes much too long! Also, note that one of the parts has a sticker UNDER the plastic wrap which also needs to be removed.

Step 10: refers to Barrel Bolts. Know that these are also called Reflector Studs on the packaging.

I worried for the wrong reason from Denver, CO on 09/04/2014 – Verified Buyer
When I got this for such a reasonable price, I assumed that it wouldn't last. Or that it would be poorly made. Both could have not been further from the truth. It IS well made and it HAS lasted and lasted through summers and winter, outside in the elements the whole time. No rust. No wear. And it uses very little propane. Sorry that I waited so long to buy it.

Works fabulously for a chilly evening area from Fidalgo Island, WA on 05/23/2015 – Verified Buyer
We recently purchased this patio heater after having looked at them for several years and deciding that we were going to redecorate our small back patio. We live at the base of the San Juan Islands in Washington State (the nice Washington) and once the sun begins to set and the cool marine breezes begin, there's a definitive chill in the air. For those of us who love the outdoors and are not ready to retreat inside, this heater provides a wonderful excuse to stay outside. We've used it twice in the last two weeks and it works fabulously for a chilly evening. We have a thirteen by ten foot patio space that adjoins our drive and garage area providing a newly created small seating area and this propane patio heater does a fantastic job of radiating enough heat to sit, relax and share a bottle of wine while chatting. We would absolutely recommend for purchase.

Looks great and more importantly, works great from Glendale, CA on 05/22/2015 – Verified Buyer
I was looking around for awhile to find a nice looking but not too expensive patio heater. The ones at the large home improvement stores were a little dinky looking. I read the reviews on this and from the photos it looked sturdy and attractive.

The thing arrives in a million pieces and it's a bit like putting a jigsaw together but if you are organized and patient it is easy. My husband and I did it together and it was complete in about 45 minutes.

My only negative is that the instructions for lighting are more confusing than they need to be. The thing also has a pilot light but we don't use it as we use the heater infrequently depending on the temperature here in southern California.

Pros: Sturdy and attractive
Cons: Instructions complicated

Good Looking and Easy to Assemble from West Roxbury, MA on 10/21/2014 – Verified Buyer
This propane heater is good looking and is made of heavy grade metal. It was pretty easy to assemble, only took me about 35 minutes and I was up and warming. Definitely throws off some good heat but do plan on being realistic about its capabilities. I've got a 15 x 20 deck and I can feel the heat from everywhere on the deck, but it is certainly warmest within 5 feet of the heater. If you've got a breeze this is going to be useless to those upwind of the heater. My wife and I comfortably had dinner outside on a night where it was about 55 degrees, but much colder and it wouldn't have been comfortable without blankets. All in all a good purchase and I'd buy it again.

Appropriate for What I Need from Silver Spring, MD on 05/29/2015 – Verified Buyer
I love how easily these start. My family was here for Thanksgiving and it wasn't particularly warm, but the kids were able to do bean bag tosses and play around in the yard to get them out of the house. And I like sitting on my deck for coffee on a cool morning or a glass of wine on a cool evening. Also, they look nice enough to leave outside.

Pros: Work Great!!!
Cons: Even with the propane tank inside and full, a wind gust can blow them over and dent the hood. I now bungee cord them to the deck railings when not in use.

Great Outdoor Patio Time from Spokane Valley, WA on 04/27/2014 – Verified Buyer
Living in the northwst and enjoying outdoors and evenings, we needed a little assistance in keeping warned. This is the ticket! We make fewer trip to the wood pile, but now enjoy both, a larger area of warmth and the light and heat of our fire pit. The patio heater feally filled the walking and table sitting area with the right amount of comfort. My neighbors love the idea and are looking for these, of coarse I told them where to get the best deal, "See Wayfair" I say to them all.
Great deal and great service from Wayfair. Thank you Wayfair!

Looks great, works fantastic from Millbrae, CA on 12/15/2015 – Verified Buyer
Durable, heavy and worked as stated. Surprisingly warm. It's an excellent value

Pros: Nicely constructed, instructions were easy to follow (with the exception of the mounting of the center piece of the reflector [you need to unscrew the reflector bolts, then re-bolt through the mounted center piece; holes won't align otherwise])
Cons: Assembly of the reflector is an incredible pain due to the sticky plastic coating that has to be carefully removed.

Not bad...patio heater from Baltimore, MD on 11/16/2015 – Verified Buyer
I bought two from HD which had a tiltable (larger) reflector. I bought two of these firesense ones as well. In comparison - HD cost ones were higher, easier to put together, bigger reflector and thus slightly better. These firesense were better packaged, better looking, pushed good heat, but most of it doesn't get reflected down since it's too small. If I were to buy two more I would buy the ones from HD again, even though these were good.

Fired up right away! from Southern California on 09/07/2015 – Verified Buyer
We purchased 2 of the mocha heaters. They were packaged compactly, assembly was a breeze, organization of parts in the packaging was great, and we couldn't have been happier with the price. Thrilled to get them on sale as we had been watching for quite some time at various big box stores as well as online stores and are really pleased with our decision to go with these. Heated radius of surrounding space is good too.

Pros: Attractive, easy assembly, lightweight, easy to start, works great!
