As a student of David Allen's Getting Things Done, I chose this cabinet because it satisfies the criteria of a usable and functional file cabinet. It has spring-loaded follower blocks to keep files upright, which eliminates the need for hanging folders. However, it also has built-in high drawer sides that allow me to use hanging folders for my tickler file. The sturdy construction and security lock enable me to provide extra protection not only for files but valuables as well. The quality and craftsmanship in the cabinet makes it a pleasure to use, and that's very important. If I could suggest one improvement it would be to offer a darker shade of gray - perhaps charcoal. The HON product is well made with a laminate surface that will look good for years with easy care. THe four leveling glides make it easy for cabinet stability and we love the front to back filing capability with the hanging folder support. I had seen it in stores for about the same price (plus tax) but they were out of stock and I was getting no service at the famous office supply stores.
