Beautiful Bed with a Major Issue from Ardmore, PA on 05/23/2014 – Verified Buyer
This bed is certainly beautiful. The color of the wood and wrought iron scroll work makes it a lovely bedroom addition. However... As others have stated there is a gap between the mattress and headboard (or footboard if you choose to push the mattress down instead of up). After reading reviews, I was under the impression the gap was 3-6 inches. This is not the case. The gap is at least a foot if not larger which means your pillows, remote and your head will fall down the gap. It is clearly a design flaw. I purchased a body pillow to put in the gap but the gap was so large that the body pillow fell to the floor. I eventually made a body pillow "hammock" that I attached to the bedframe and mattress to hold the body pillow up at mattress height. It works well but for a bed in this price range, it seems totally unnecessary to have to go to such lengths to make the bed function properly.

Also, as others have stated, the screw covers do not fit.

When all is said and done, the bed is attractive but had I known the hassle involved with dealing with the gap, I would have purchased something else.

Mind the Gap! from Grimes, IA on 09/05/2015 – Verified Buyer
I read the reviews and knew about the gap problem, but did not know how bad it would be. The frame is 4" too long for a king/queen, but the way the rails and head/footboard are shaped, the actual gap turns out to be 8-10" and looks horrible as well as functioning horribly. Pillows and blankets fall down constantly and it just looks so awful as well to have so much space b/ the bed and the foot and/or headboard. Normal rails would not fit well d/t the shape/curve of the wood. I researched online, and found the twin/full rail specifications - Fashion Bed Group part #420008. You can buy this frame for $80. I purchased this from another website, as wayfair does not carry it. It fits a queen size perfectly! If you measure, it looks about 2" too short, but due to the corner curves on the boxspring, it just fits! Although the length is fine, it would be too narrow for a king; your best option would be to purchase the bed with rails (this set) and then also purchase the full/twin rails separately. You could then use the king center support on its own and just not hook in the crossrails from the full frame; just use the side rails that are long enough. If you look up the frame online it makes more sense. Anyway, if you are buying a queen and don't want a gap, PLEASE take my advice and just buy the head- and footboard here and buy the rails separately. (Odd that Wayfair sells the head and footboard set w/o the rails but does not sell the rails.)

Pros: Very pretty, well made. Worth the trouble.
Cons: Gap is AWFUL, but solvable.

Wow Factor from CROTON ON HUDSON, NY on 09/13/2014 – Verified Buyer
Wrought iron and wood combo give a warm unique look. I love the piece. It livened up my small space because of the lovely open scroll/wood design. My queen size bed doesn't give a crowed look in my small bedroom. I find the space between the foot and head board beneficial for comforters to fit easily when making the bed. Who enjoys making beds? Pillows can fall in between the head board and mattress. You can slide the mattress closer to the head board. I like draping blankets over the foot board. They drop nicely between the mattress and foot board. Spacious storage for underneath the bed. I put sliding storage bins for my shoes there. A smart beautiful purchase.

fabulous purchase! from Chico, CA on 12/23/2014 – Verified Buyer
Very nice looking bed no surprises from description. Bed was places in a small bedroom with the openess of the foot and headboard doesn't over power the room. Very easy to put together. The gap that some who purchased didn't like I put at the foot of the bed and use a fluffy duvet so the gap is not noticeable and allows the duvet to lay nicely. Love the bed!

Fabulous Find from Ocala, FL on 09/14/2014 – Verified Buyer
This bed is perfect for transitional decorating. The iron-work is beautiful and allows you to put the bed in front of a window and still get great light through, if you have a small room and are tight on wall space. There is about 4" of extra space between the foot board/head board - depending on whether you place the mattress closer to the head or the foot of the bed - that can be mitigated by placing a body pillow in the gap so bedding doesn't slide in the gap.

Solid frame and a warm honey color that works with any side table. Love this bed!

Beautiful Bed!!! from Lake Villa, IL on 12/02/2014 – Verified Buyer
This is a beautiful bed, it was not cheaply made. I was worried that it was not going to be solid, very flimsy. That was not the case. Once we put the mattress and box spring on the bed was not moving at all. We were able to put the bed together in just an hour or so. When we got done it looked exactly like the photo.
The bed even came earlier than expected which was a bonus. No extra tools were needed for assembly.

Pros: great value, easy to put together, sturdy

Beautiful bed! from fairfield, CT on 10/28/2012 – Verified Buyer
Chose this beautiful be for our new remodeled MBR. Came quickly and well packaged. Had read issues with small gap between end of mattress and headboard, but it is not a big deal to place an extra pillow if necessary. There was a small chip off the headboard in inconspicuous place (below pillow line) that my husband noticed when putting together. I did not notice until later, and figured it was too late and too much trouble to resend. Bottom line: as beautiful as in picture and fairly well made, but inspect carefully before putting together. I would recommend to a friend for sure.

beautiful bed from Reno, NV on 02/17/2015 – Verified Buyer
It is a beautiful bed frame love it. Like everyone else I found that there is a gap at either the foot or the head of the bed. I think that despite saying it is a king size frame it comes with a Cal king metal bar.

Great Sleigh Bed from Murray, KY on 10/08/2014 – Verified Buyer
This is a Great Sleigh Bed! I purchased a queen size for a guest bedroom. The wood is a beautiful honey oak finish and the metal scroll work is black with golden overtones. Over all I was very pleased with the purchase. The head board & foot board came assembled. The metal frame was easy to put together and is very sturdy. There is plenty of room at the foot for a thick comforter or blanket. All my guests have commented on it's unique beauty.
