"Total time saver in cooking class" I am a Chef Insturctor at a cooking school in CA. I used the Fagor 6 quat pressure cooker in class to cook about 2 lbs. of beef shoulder. It took just over 1 hour. Braising the same meat on the cook top would have taken at least 2 plus hours. I would not have had the time to complete the dish without using the Fagor. My students could not believe how fast and good the dish turned out. Great product, |

DO NOT BUY This pressure cooker is not safe. It exploded on the stove spewing scalding hot gasses & water all over the kitchen. |

Great time saver After reading the manual thoroughly, it's pretty easy to use. A great product to save massive amounts of time in cooking foods that would otherwise take much longer to prepare. |

Great cooker, love it! I work forty hours a week, and want to prepare great food in less time. I've been thinking about a pressure cooker for quite a while, and thought it would be a great addition to the tools in my kitchen. I have been thrilled with this pressure cooker so far. I did a test run with just water, which was very helpful in learning to operate it. It's very easy, and not scary at all! So far I have made sauerbraten, sweet & sour cabbage, and baked beans. Previously my beans took 5 1/2 hours cooking time. With the pressure cooker, a mere 55 minutes! That's a winner for me right there. I got the 8 quart size because I wanted to cook everything from a couple of servings of vegetables to a large piece of beef. I like the fact that I can brown the meat in the pressure cooker, and then cook in the same pan. Some recipes say you don't have to brown the meat first, but it's so much better when you do! And no extra pan to clean, which my dishwashing husband appreciates immensely. Now, you WILL have prep time for your foods, and you need to have all the right ingredients on hand, of course. But you need that with any meal you are preparing. For example, it took me about 15 minutes to prep all of the ingredients for the sweet & sour cabbage, but only four minutes to cook it. You will not be disappointed with the performance of this pressure cooker. It will streamline your meal preparation, and is a great addition to your kitchen. Prior to buying it I purchased a pressure cooker cook book, and that's been invaluable in helping me to learn the best wasy to use a pressure cooker. I'm looking forward to using it every week, and tonight I'm planning to bake a cheesecake in it! |

I love it!!!! I primarily use it for brown rice. It is easy to use, easy to clean up and cuts my cooking time in half. Miso soup also cooks up quickly. Am now starting to experiment with other foods. |

A great, easy to use pressure cooker. It's an easy pressure cooker to use; I'm not sure I really needed the two pressure options but the price difference was minimal so it may be worth having it. |
