just what I was looking for had similiar for gas stove used all the time, but switched to induction range had to give away most of my faves , prefer fresh veggies over canned, steamed lightly, like handles too, takes less space in cabinets than single long handle light weight too hate heavy cookware - weak wrists |

I will buy this product again and again wonderful for slowly heating oil/butters for soap and lotion making. Perfect for making cream soups as the milk doesn't scorch. The best for scalding milk for yogurt and bread. |

Both Good and Bad Here Previous review indicate this products tips. Yes, it definitely does, but it did not actually tip over on the smooth top electric stove. It tips over in the cupboard, however. I made a white roux which burned on the bottom. Need to cook more slowly and at a lower temp I think. |

Warning - pot defective The pot has a rolled rim that cracked on it's second use and continued to crack down the side of the pot when washed in the dishwasher. I hope that only this pot was defective and that this is not a design dificiency. I would reccommend trying another double boiler. |
