Very sturdy bike! Impressive quality for the money!

I wanted to buy a cheaper recumbent bike while still getting a decent machine. I researched various lower-end recumbents over the course of a week and decided to give the Exerpeutic 900XL a shot. I'm 6'3 and every bit of 300 lbs so I was a little weary about buying a cheaper machine. However, my worries abated after using this machine for the past few days. I received the shipment 2 days ago and assembled it yesterday. Assembly was fairly easy, with everything fitting together perfectly, and the direction were well written. If you are a smaller woman, or a senior, you might need some help as the main pedaling piece is a little heavy, but it isn't terrible. The wiring connects easily with wiring harnesses that don't allow you to incorrectly connect wires. From the moment I opened the box, it took me about 45 minutes to an hour to have it completely assembled and working. All of the tools required for assembly are included. In buying a cheaper recumbent bike, I knew the computer wouldn't be top-of-the-line. It does a nice job giving you distance pedaled, time spent exercising, calories burned, and heart rate. I really didn't care about training programs that give varying resistance (as if pedaling up and down hills). I just wanted something to stick in front of the television and pedal, and this is perfect for that. The machine is REALLY quiet. It doesn't bother my wife when I'm exercising and I can hear the television at normal volume without any problem from 20-25 feet away. The machine offers various levels of resistance, which work great. As much resistance as I need (as I'm using it for longer periods for cardiovascular, not muscle building). Once assembled, the machine is very easy to move around. The front roller wheels could be a little more sturdy, but they do the job. I've only used the recumbent bike for 2 days so far, at 40-45 minutes each time, but it feels very sturdy. I'm extremely happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this machine to anyone looking for a lower-end recumbent bike.
Great bike and not hard to put together
Crystal from Burnet, TX – Verified Buyer
It's a great bike especially for the price. The construction seems very solid. It's easy to adjust the tension while on the bike. The seat is considerably more difficult to adjust (three knobs to change) but still simple. Just know that if you're 5 foot and your husband is 6 foot, it'll be irritating. Then again just about any exercise bike will have issues with that. The instructions definitely feel like an engineer wrote them and are more complicated than they need to be, but it's not that difficult. I put it together by myself. A better screwdriver definitely would have helped, but you can put it together just fine with what's provided. If you are mechanically inclined or have help, plan on about 45 minutes to an hour. If not, plan on 1:30 to 2 hours. If you pay a handyman to do it and it takes more than 2 hours, you're probably getting scammed. Make sure you have all the parts when you pull it out as that can really add time to assembly.
Just what this big guy needed

Shipping was fast (less than one week) and the package came in good condition. Bike was packaged well and all parts were clearly marked. Assembly took an hour and a half with the "help" from my 4 year old, with only enclosed tools. I have had the bike now for a few weeks its whisper quiet at all levels. Been averaging 5 to 10 miles a day while watching TV. At 6' 2" and over 300 pounds this bike is just what I needed to jumpstart my weight loss. It is rock solid gym quality construction and a steal at this price. Great Value, Rock Solid Construction, Quiet, Quality, Perfect for home, Proactive way to watch TV A little more padding would be nice on seat and backrest

I read the reviews on this product and it is highly rated--the best rating for this price. This was the best price I could find plus free shipping. It is easy to assemble and only took about a half hour. The best thing about it is that it is easy to move around if you don't have a permanent place for it. It also runs very quietly. The worst thing (and it isn't all that bad) is that it is a bit of a nuisance to move the seat since both my husband and I use it. You have to loosen three handles which are under the seat, move the seat, and then retighten the handles. All in all, I am very pleased and would definitely recommend this bike.

I had a fusion on my Back, 30 years ago that did not work so all these years I had 2 bones taken from my hip that have been floating along my spine. The Dr. . Never saw it. I saw. a Dr . Who thought I just liked pain pills and gave them to me every month to try to relive the pain. She FINALLY decided to send me to a very good surgen to see what my spine looked like. I had fallen on the ice 2 times. Turns out I had 2 breaks in my back with this floating bone next to my spine . I had surgery and now have rod screws ect and my Dr. Said this bike I bought from you at way fair is what I needed, it has been a blessing. No shipping charges and it was delivered on the day they said it would be here. It was easly assembled and I love it it, it has been my saving grace. We live in the mountains of Colorado far from any town but I have this amazing recrumbernt bike suggested by my Dr. Sometimes we can't get to town because of the snow . But I can with this Do my rehabilitation. Thank you for being so on time and everything you said you would you did!
Excellent Product For Th Price

Great bike for the money, I honestly don't know what more you would get by spending more. I was most impressed with the solid heavy duty construction (no wobbling). Also the resistance is very effective, yet whisper quiet. As a younger guy in his late twenties I thought it wouldn't be enough to get a good workout but I was very wrong, I rarely turn it up more than half way. Also the assembly process was very straight forward and actually somewhat enjoyable. Also Wayfair was great in getting it delivered in a timely fashion. Only issue is the heart rate monitor takes awhile to get an accurate reading.
Nice quality at reasonable price, with exceptions

This exercise bike arrived in good time. It took me a couple hours to put together, but it is very sturdy when using it. My only disappointment came when I realized the computer would not work. It was hooked up per the instructions, lit up the way it should, but would not calculate anything. I emailed their support group and never got a response. If you want a good exercise bike and don't need to know your speed, calories, heart rate, etc. this is a nice bike. I feel like we got 75% of the value we purchased from the manufacturer. There is no way I am going to try and re-box this and send it back. Wayfair did their part well, the manufacturer let us down. Pros: Sturdy, well constructed, all the parts well organized and assembly was straightforward. Cons: Computer doesn't work, instructions somewhat weak, trouble shooting not addressed well, service department not responsive., and there was no help on YouTube.
Best stationary recumbent bike for the price I could find
Joseph from Deltona, FL – Verified Buyer
I have been using the bike for two weeks now and it is everything it says it is.When the bike arrived I must admit the assembly looked a little intimidating but actually was quite easy, a little time consuming but a good workout in itself. the only problem i had was being 6'3" and toes pronating out i did have some hip pain but a talk with a friend who sells bikes suggested a 20 dollar pair of pedal crank extenders and i was off to the races I am sure this machine will add years to my life my blood sugar is coming under control and i have lost 3 pounds already. the recumbent position puts no strain on my very damaged vertebrae in my lower back and neck this bike is a god send and I'm am looking forward to regaining some lost control of my fife. Wayfair has come through again with a great product at a great price and excellent service well done....
Exerpeutic recumbent bicycle

It does wobble a little when I first start to use it but doesn't tip at all. I was disappointed that the way to adjust the seat forward is not handy. I must get off the bike, twist the knob, pull it out & then slide the seat forward. Being short, I have it in the most forward position. As the bike was to assist me in bending my knee from knee replacement surgery, I wish it would go forward a few more notches so it would be of more help in bending the knee further. I like that the knob allows to me pump harder or easier, and I like the seated back.
good product at a great price!

this is a large machine for large people. if you are large, must order large machine! the problem is ALL of these machines come with pedals too close to bike centerline.these bikes should come with pedal extenders- they are cheap. without them you will damage your knees! this machine is great, but large machine should have pedals farther apart. make sure to securely tighten bolts. i could not find comparable machine at this price point. very good deal. i am 300 lbs and it fits but for the pedal factor- easy fix with $10 extenders.
