I am soooo glad that I made this purchase. About a month after buying this bike I broke my foot. After about a month, the doc said that I could start back doing some cardio...with limitations of course, like no running. However using this bike was perfect. I flipped the petal over upside down and propped my boot on that and petaled with my good foot. I usually will ride the bike without shoes, its more comfortable for me that way. The bike is super quiet and it was easy enough to assemble. I have lost alot inches/weight! I try to use it at least three times a week for ninety minutes ( I started with thirty minutes and just keep moving up as I felt comfortable). I also will do speed intervals for about a minute or two for each ten minute segment. I will speed up really fast like for a speed of twenty and when I am not going too fast I keep it steady between thirteen and fifteen with a resistence of like three. The bike has monitors for time, speed, calories burned, etc. When I got back to work after being out for like six weeks everyone said that they noticed that I have lost weight. Keep in mind I hadn't starting exercising consistantly with the bike until after week four...so that's like two weeks of consistent cardio! I did do upper body exercises with weight during that four week period (also push ups and sit ups). The scale did NOT say that I had lost weight when I had began receiving the compliments, however my clothes fitted me better. The seat on this bike is good and it doesn't hurt my bottom. I also my use hand weights while using this bike for a great upper body work out as well. Hope this helps."..."  Read more

I'm the mom that the bike was bought for. The orthpedic Dr. told me the only exercises I can do are the bands and the bike. He gave me the bands and my son bought the bike. I weighed 270 and have chronic arthritis all over my body and multiple spine problems on the L4 & L5. The back on the bike is just what I need to support whatever in my back causes me constant pain and leg jerks at night because of the nerves below L5 and neuropathy from being diabetic. I get no severe leg jerks from the exercise bike that I do get from walking in the pool. The slight recumbrance keeps all the pressure off my back. I can't believe it! This bike is GREAT for a person with severe limitations! I've lost 6 pounds and my blood sugar has returned to normal, with medication, the first time in two years. The computer shuts off, saving batteries, the seat is well cushioned. Put the bike together in about 45 min, alone, after reading clear directions first and putting numbers and letters together in my mind. I'm a 68 year old female. I love this bike!"..."  Read more

I bought this bike for exercise. Due to a hip injury, I'm unable to engage in most exercise activities. I've had the bike for a few weeks and have used it for 30 minutes rides between 7-9 miles per hour. So far, I am very pleased. Putting it together was time consuming (4 hours) but the directions were clear and all parts labeled. I am NOT mechanically inclined so I'm sure others would not have spent so much time on that. The bike is very quiet and comfortable for the most part. The seat is not highly comfortable but what bike seat is? My back is not the best so I was initially concerned about an upright but I've had no problems at all. I am 5'8" and 200 pounds and the bike feels quite solid and sturdy. My shoes can hit the gear shaft if I turn the heels inward too much so people with large feet (I wear a women's size 9 to 9.5) might occasionally hit it as well. I am pleased with this bike and would definitely buy it again."..."  Read more

I ride 85-100 miles/week, and I got this bike because it's finally too dark for me to ride outside. So, I use this bike during the week, and ride outdoors on the weekends. This bike is great for helping me to maintain endurance, and for getting a great cardio workout if that's what you're looking for. It's easy to use, easy to adjust, and easy to move around. The electronics are simple, and I find that it's just enough...not too many complicated bells & whistles, but enough customization for an average user.My two complaints would be the seat, and the calorie counter. I'm short (5' 3"), and the lack of adjustments on the seatback height mean that I'll have a backache after about an hour. So, I use a pillow to sit/lean against in the seat. Regarding the calorie counter, I don't find it to be accurate at all. The average person will burn approx 500 cal/hour on an exercise bike. After an hour on this one, my calorie counter reads around 700, which is closer to what I'd burn in an hour of running. Not sure if the bike is compensating for the higher tension of my ride or what, but I don't rely on the bike's counter to determine my calories burned.Other than those two minor issues, I totally love this bike. It's perfect for my use, and I couldn't believe how inexpensive it was. I was prepared to pay around [$] for a good recumbent, but got this one for around half that. Two thumbs up!"..."  Read more
