Euro Pro Shark Ninja Professional Blender - NJ600

The ninja exceeded my expectations. It really does perform like a much more expensive blender. The infomercials are not exaggerating it is awesome. For the price, the competition can't touch it. Makes great green smoothies...plus it looks cool!

The jar on this is large, but too narrow. I tried to make milkshakes and the ice cream kept getting stuck. I had to repeatedly take off the top to push the ice cream down and around. I think the tall balde structure just gets in the way. The lid also got stuck several times, it wouldn't release after pushing the buttons. I also think it's very inconvenient to have to push buttons, rotate the jar, etc.. It's just more complicated than it has to be, it's a blender, not a safe.

Excellent for smoothies at home. I don't plan to use as food processor, although one could with the accessory package, as I already own a Cuisinart system. Ninja is far superior to blenders at common retailers, and yes, worth paying $100 for this machine. Just be careful cleaning the razor-sharp 6-blade chopper / spinner piece. Easy to cut yourself if you get a little impatient or sloppy in handling.

once I get more used to it it will be fine but I keep taking th lid off and pouring and then the center blade falls out and I make a mess everywhere and cut myself on the blade - but I am jsut not used to this type of blender - getting better daily - so this is just a word of caution to new users!
