Nakiri Knife is crafted from one piece of German high carbon steel with a smooth matte blade finish. The blade is precision ground to perfect sharpness and heat treated for a long lasting edge. The elegant wood grain look of the handle is a fiberglass resin composite called G10 that is extremely durable and elegant, ideal for the most demanding kitchens. The blade shape and name come from a traditional Japanese style which was designed with a straighter edge for chopping & pushing down through food like a mini Chinese cleaver but not for use on bones or frozen foods.
