We received this piece of furniture 2 weeks ago to replace a too small entertainment center. Although putting it together was quite an arduous task for my husband and me, we couldn't be happier with the finished product. It is just what I wanted, a pretty piece of furniture large enough for our big screen tv and all of the components that are necessary for our stereo, gaming systems and whatnot. Just make sure that you have at least 2 fairly patient people and a lot of space to put it together because it is time consuming. I have seen some reviews that say it takes 2 hours...not! It took us at least an hour just to sort all of the furniture pieces and the hardware; however, in the end it was well worth it. Don't hesitate to buy:)"..." Read more

I recently purchased the Cambridge Entertainment Center online after spending several weeks visiting furniture stores and not finding a decent priced entertainment center that looked nice. I wanted one with a wooden back behind the TV as opposed to those that are open. The Cambridge one fit the bill and was exactly the right size. I looks as nice as those I have seen in the stores for twice the price. Be careful if you are trying to match it to existing furniture. The chestnut finish is actually much darker than it appears in the picture and matches is a good match for cherry finishes."..." Read more

Overall, this is a great unit. It's solid wood and the color is beautiful. But it wasn't packed properly, which caused scratched and gouged wood in places. Also, the metal hardware that's provided to assemble the unit is cheaply made and the hardware pieces kept breaking. Fortunately, we had extra hardware from a desk we had recenly assembled, so we used those pieces, which were a much higher quality. After the unit was assembled, it still seemed somewhat flimsy, so we're going to have to add some L-brackets on the backs of each shelving unit. But overall, still a beautiful piece."..." Read more

This unit came nearly fully assembled requiring only the attachment of the door handles. The use of easy to find furniture sliders, placed on the base made it simple to slide the unit into place. Our 51" Plasma TV fits perfectly in place and there is plenty of space for DVD storage in the 2 side cabinets. The only challenge is access to the backside of the HDTV to install the cable connections. Overall, we are very happy with our purchase."..." Read more
