I read a lot of reviews on the net about how this item was difficult to assemble and mount on the wall. While I do admit the instructions that come in the box are a bit lacking, it really is quite easy to figure out how to mount these pot racks. If you're really stuck, there is an excellent little video on the Rack-It-Up website (www.enclume.com/rackitup/vid.htm) that should answer all your questions. Just interpret the video like you're hanging the rack horizontally instead of vertically (as the video shows). While the physics of weight distribution between vertical and horizontal mounting do indeed differ, it won't matter much if you do the install correctly.Regardless, the finish on the steel is quite durable, and the racks themselves are very sturdy. I would HIGHLY recommend this product to someone with a smaller kitchen who need to maximize their usable space.
