About Chef Emeril Legasse
Inspired by his mother Hilda to become a professional chef, Emeril first worked at a Portuguese bakery where he mastered the art of bread and pastry making. After high school, he turned down a full music scholarship to pursue his love of cooking. He earned an undergraduate degree and honorary doctorate from the legendary Johnson and Wales University. Then traveled to Paris and Lyon to study the classic art of French cuisine. Returning to the States, Emeril polished his skills in fine restaurants in New York, Boston and Philadelphia.
When the Big Easy called, Emeril answered by becoming executive chef at the famous Commander's Palace. He's been treating us to his talents ever since these days, in restaurants of his own making. Emeril is the chef-proprietor of 10 restaurants, including three in New Orleans, two in Las Vegas, two in Orlando, one in Atlanta and one in Miami. Emeril has just opened his tenth restaurant in June 2007, Emeril's Gulf Coast Fish House, in Gulfport, Mississippi. Also an established cookbook author, Chef Emeril Lagasse has authored five books exceeding two million in sales!

Best overall cookware I have ever purchased. Product Review I love this cookware. I cook everyday and needed something that would really hold up and still look fabulous, and this has exceeded my expectations. It distributes heat evenly so everything cooks perfectly, every time. Clean up is a breeze. I don't believe I could have found better cookware for the price. I love it. Service Review It was delivered in a timely manner and no problems whatsoever! |

Adequate but not what I hoped I've read compliments and complaints about this line of cookware, particularly the fry pans. Cudos for its solid construction and weight distribution. Complaints about its tendency to stain, turning a copper color, which cannotbe removed byamy method known to humankind. Some have posted complaints about food sticking to this pan, but Idon'tfind thisto betrue. My suggestion to all is this--make certain that you use use medium heat and then make certain that the cooking oil is sufficiently hot before you begin frying. Also, avoid the temptation to move or lift the meats while they cook. Meats will naturally release when they've sufficiently browned, if you avoid the temptation to fiddle with things. I fried pork cutlets this evening and experienced no sticking at all. With the exception of the staining problem (granted, it's just a cosmetic issue) I like this pan very much, but I don't know yet how long it will be before I replace it. |

Emerilware 12" what i like about emerilware is that it is not too heavy for my wife to use, some of the better quality cookware is very heavy and she had a difficult time lifting while in use or to clean, this product is not |

Great pan I wanted a pan that would heat evenly and not warp, as I have a ceramic cooktop. This is the first pan (aside from my cast iron) that does the job! |
