About Chef Emeril Legasse
Inspired by his mother Hilda to become a professional chef, Emeril first worked at a Portuguese bakery where he mastered the art of bread and pastry making. After high school, he turned down a full music scholarship to pursue his love of cooking. He earned an undergraduate degree and honorary doctorate from the legendary Johnson and Wales University. Then traveled to Paris and Lyon to study the classic art of French cuisine. Returning to the States, Emeril polished his skills in fine restaurants in New York, Boston and Philadelphia.
When the Big Easy called, Emeril answered by becoming executive chef at the famous Commander's Palace. He's been treating us to his talents ever since these days, in restaurants of his own making. Emeril is the chef-proprietor of 10 restaurants, including three in New Orleans, two in Las Vegas, two in Orlando, one in Atlanta and one in Miami. Emeril has just opened his tenth restaurant in June 2007, Emeril's Gulf Coast Fish House, in Gulfport, Mississippi. Also an established cookbook author, Chef Emeril Lagasse has authored five books exceeding two million in sales!

Stainless 1 Quart Saucier This is a great one quart sauce pan.It has a pouring spout. That makes it really handy.I want to say I had read in an earlier review that their pan tipped over. This does not happen to mine.I even left it empty on a pot holder and it did not fall over. This is a fantastic pan. |

Great Pan This is an excellent quality pan for the price. We use it to scald milk for our New Orleans style coffee. The copper-clad bottom is effective to heat the milk fast and the pouring spouts are perfect for pouring without spilling or "dribbling". Two issues we have found however. The handle is so heavy that we have to find the right place of balance on the gas stovetop grate or it falls over when empty. The other is that the scalded milk residue is hard to clean from the stainless interior, which may not be an issue when heating other substances. Overall, it's a great deal and would buy it again. |

Unbalanced Pot Product Review I've been using the stainless Emerilware pots and pans from All-Clad for two years and have been very pleased with them. I was pretty excited to try out this 1 quart saucier with pouring spouts because my husband and I frequently find ourselves wishing we had a small pot to work with for certain sauces and other items. We had hoped that this pot would be the perfect solution. Our hopes would have been answered if this pot was balanced. Unfortunately, the handle on this saucier is heavier than the pot which causes it to tip very easily if there isn't enough in the pot to balance it. This isn't much of a problem if you have the saucier at least half way filled, but it's certainly a problem when you are making something such as a roux. It's not an awful saucier, and I certainly appreciate the pouring spouts which allow me to transfer liquids with no drips, but buyers should beware that they may have a few unexpected messes for those occasions where the pot decides to tip over on the stovetop. I received this product for free from Wayfairs in exchange for my honest review. Service Review Delivery was prompt and the item arrived nicely packed and in perfect condition. |

Love it! I love this pan! It feels and looks like quality, with a nice weight to it. Even my boyfriend remarked one day that he loved the pan-- it was like a piece of art. It seems to heat evenly, and has done beautifully to make homemade hot chocolate with real milk with no scorching. Nice pan! |
