I purchased this elliptical for my birthday as I wanted to get in shape for bathing suit season. [...] Putting it together took about 30 minutes or so and I began using it that day. I'm 5'1" and had read through other reviews this machine is suited more for shorter/smaller people...and I agree. I found the product easy to use and lightweight, however I do wish it was a little more sturdy. I put it in my bedroom on carpet and it would probably be better suited for a harder surface. I also was expecting a little more as far as reach/stride with pedaling, but I knew for the price I wasn't getting the same elliptical I'm used to using at the gym. This air walker is the perfect in home trainer I have ever tried. No going out in the 100 degree days with 99% humidity.. I can walk my way in a/c while looking out the windows or warching tv. It's lightweight frame makes it simple to move around. I am short so I did modify the pad that is meant to be leaned against. Now it's just perfect. Less than 16 inches
If you have a limited amount of space, than an elliptical with a stride length of less than 16 inches is ideal for you. If you are taller than 5'4", this stride length will not provide as full of a workout as ellipticals with longer stride lengths.
