Each year I try to add something new to the backyard patio. The planters arrived in a short time. They do require a little time to align the parts and to connect the pieces. Wile some parts are predrilled, others are not. That could help with water retention for the plants but does require extra time in assembling. This year the rustic planters will sit upon a short wall near the patio.
A bit shorter than anticipated

So simple and easy to put together, however I thought that it was going to be a bit taller than it is.

Not hard to put together but time consuming with all the screws. I really like the way it looks and thought the prie was right.

I haven't had the chance to test it out with plants and water yet. It is a good size and nice looking. It is very lightweight though. I have trouble believing that the wood will not absorb the water and rot quickly. I am going to apply a sealer to the wood before I use it just in case. I may change my rating after this summer's use. Hopefully for the better.
Good product but different than shown

Needs to be assembled - not as easy as shown

I got this for my balcony to plant grass in. I live in the city and miss touching the Earth. I wasn't the only one who loved it - it's now a garden for my cat! He sleeps in it for hours and he eats the grass as a bonus. When friends come over, he makes himself comfortable showing off his garden. He's a shy kitten, but if anyone is on that balcony - then so is he! It's a good size planter and when filled with dirt becomes difficult to move around. I'll be looking into wheels to put under it. Going to bring it indoors for winter, so he'll still have his garden. There were some screws that didn't go in perfect, but it's got a rustic look so it's not noticeable.
Good, sturdy, attractive planter

The delivery was timely, since I needed it to arrive at my cousin's in Illinois by a certain date, and it got there 3 days early! My cousin had already assembled it when I arrived, so I can't comment on that process...except to say it LOOKED GOOD! I'm using this planter for spring bulbs and a fall chrysanthemum on my parents' graves, and I'm hoping it can keep the cemetery mower away from the flowers. We dumped a bag of potting soil in, placed the bulbs and the chrysanthemum in, watered well, set it in place....and left. I was pleased with the result.

I was pleased that this planter was so easy to assemble. It is large enough to plant a small tree. It holds up well to climate changes and rough winter elements.
Difficult to assemble

The holes for the hardware didn't line up very well. It took a lot more man power than I thought it would. In fact, while it says no power tools, I had to have my husband try to really get the screws in and secure enough and no he didn't use a power tool! The end result is nice but I have to say, it is much smaller than I thought it would be. I should have gone with the larger size.
Hexagon Garden Barrel Planter

A little tricky to put together but looks great after it's done. Very rustic, country, I put a pot planter inside and used for decoration for our daughters wedding. Seems to deter snails too because they haven't eaten the plant I put in it.
