I ordered this for my mother for when she got out of rehabilitation. She is 92-years-old and lives with me. I would highly recommend this bench, but you need to make sure it fits your shower. We had a problem with it fitting in our shower. Our home is new; and we have a large shower, with a glass wall and door. We could get the bench in the shower door; but there was no room for her legs to slide into the shower, through the door,

Works perfect in assisting a stroke victim in accessing the shower. It allows her caregiver the ability to get in and out without having to lift her.
Easy to Assemble

Handy shower chair delivered promptly easy to assemble seat glides easily. My only concern is that the locking mechanism will hold up over time it occasionally sticks and requires a harder push to get it going again.

Seat works in walk in shower

We use the seat without the back attached. the patient sits sideways, slides into shower area, uses hand shower and slides out. We could not get the locking mechanism to work after many tries so we stand in the shower while patient is moving to prevent an accident. Use of the bench allows patient to bathe in shower.
Poor Qualilty Badly Built

This Product is very flimsy. it says it is good up to 250 pounds i would not go past 100. it would work for a child . my husbnd does not feel safe on it at all. it does not lock or if it does you have to slam the seat over to make it lock. i would not have bought this item had i seen it in a store or sat on it first
