The photo looks orange but the actual dutch oven that comes in the mail is brown. I've been looking for a large Dutch oven ever since my last one was no longer usable...several years. All the ones I found were either more like stock pots (tall and narrow) or small Dutch ovens (5 qt.). I needed something bigger and finally found it. I love my new Dutch oven! Love this stylish cocotte. You can put this thing in the oven or use it on the stove, whatever. Great for stews and braising. It is quite heavy, as is all cast iron. Staub beats LC thanks to the metal knob; no worrying about plastic in the oven (still no clue why LC sticks to the "phenolic knob").
