Dutailier 962 Matrix Too Glider with Round Arm
B. Gurzi from California
the curved arms a beautiful to look at, but after buying two of these chairs, I can tell you that, unless you are good at DIY furniture repairs, you will regret the purchase. Dutailier attaches the curved arms to the seat using a split wooden dowel glued in place. The glue cannot withstand the pressure of an adult when gliding. All four of my arms (two chairs) have broken loose. After repairing using two 2-12-inch wood 8 wood screws driven throught the base and carefully angled up into the arms, the chair is sturdy and does not break again. But....
A decision which allowed Dutailier to become a leader of the North-American and European markets with more than 4 million chairs manufactured to date. The company now owns 6 production facilities and has risen to a prime position amongst the furniture manufacturers in America, Europe and Asia.
In 2003, E.G. Furniture, a company specializing in the manufacturing of high-quality, wood bedroom furniture for babies, children and teens joined the Dutailier family. For both companies, this acquisition was a natural fit since they both aspired to increase their market presence in North America.
Thus, Dutailier widens its range of products and now manufactures – besides gliding rockers and ottomans that have made their reputation – bedroom furniture which perfectly adapts to children of all ages. Present in more than 15 countries, on 3 continents, the company benefits from an excellent reputation based on the quality and the durability of its products and most of all, its intuition in meeting consumers’ expectations. And this is just the beginning. We already anticipate exceptional results.
