Duracord Southport Algodon Double Border Duracord Indoor/Outdoor Rug - MRGAPY

I ordered this Duracord Southport Algodon rug with the pad to camouflage a badly cracking concrete patio with no roof. And it does do that. However, I live near Philadelphia, PA, which gets 42" of rain per year, with virtually no dry months, and the rug needs about three sunny days (which we rarely get) to dry out. In its nearly constantly wet state, the rug is very difficult to sweep clean from the leaf litter of the shade trees on the property, and it is mildewing. This product is probably better for a covered area or a dry climate.

Very disappointed with these. They look nice but don't hold up well unless protected from the weather. Stained, mildewed easily, and after a couple of years the backing rotted and split. Another rug by same manufacturer but different pattern is ok because it's under a cover and protected from rain and sun. Might do better in cooler clime.

I am using on a wooden deck and had to purchase a mat to keep it from sliding. The whole deal became very expensive considering all the fraying on the edge (poor workmanship). [...]. I purchased the large rug for [$].

Having 3 Scotties & 1 Westie, I need extremely durable yet "human comfortable" floor coverings. This rug has been on our screened porch for over one month, adds warmth & color, soft underfoot (not like the usual polypropylene rugs), and stands up to everything my pups can "throw" at it. Cleans up swiftly and easily and maintains color and softness. I am now considering purchasing this product for indoor use as well. Have recommended highly to friends who are now looking to purchase as well. Fantastic quality for money well spent.
