Duffel Bags

First, I absolutely love the pattern of this bag, mine looks a little more blue than the picture, and I absolutely love how it looks. The only downside to this bag is that it's kind of heavy, and with all the snow around here you can't really wheel it right now when you're outside. It has a shoulder strap as well as the handles that you see in the picture though, so it's not too bad. I think it would be a perfect bag to use while travelling, and it definitely works to just take with you when you're going home for the weekend as well. The handle for when you're wheeling the bag is just amazing. It has a button so the handle stays in place until you push it, and it also doesn't slide up until you push it which is nice if you're just using it to stand up your bag. It has straps on the inside to hold your things in place and it has lots of handy little pockets too. I needed a rolling bag that would travel well. I use this bag as my "gym" bag for Kickboxing and Zumba. I needed a bag that fit my boxing gloves but still had enough room for a change of clothes and essentials such as food and water. I bought the North Face Base Camp Duffel (small) in the yellow/black. I thought the yellow might be a bit obnoxious, but it's not, it's really fun. The bag is the perfect size. I purchased it for a carry-on bag because it is spacious inside, has duffel handles, as well as backpack handles so I no longer have to lug my heavy carry-on through airports on my shoulder, but instead can carry it like a backpack. I read a lot of reviews on the bag before buying it and honestly could not find any comments that were bad. It's durable, tough, water-proof, and overall a very convenient bag. I bought this duffel bag in the medium size. You can certainly fit a lot of things in it and its tough canvas like material appears really versatile. I think its best use would be for hiking or outdoor activities. I like that there are straps that allow you to put it on your back, but its not very comfortable wearing it as a backpack.
